Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our organization is currently using different types of reporting tools along with Informatica. We are using MSTR, and Lumira. Currently Softfire is under testing and I've been testing Necto to check the capabilities of the tool. We are trying to look at some of the partner attributes based on LOB with respect to regions.

Alternatives Considered

MicroStrategy Analytics,SAP Business Objects,lumira

Micro strategy and SAP business objects require building cubes. This requires lots of SQL language and a need to export them to a repository so they can be used to build ad hoc reports. They have to be scheduled to view or analyse the data in Excel or PowerPoint or PDF formats. But Necto is so simple and we can visualize data by using our own language to build data.

Likelihood to Renew

It has infographics, a web-based UI, measures and metrics and to monitor KPIs, geo analytics and cool graphs that can be sent across to any user with ease and good social collaboration. I suggest that Necto has more to explore to visualize the data and present the data as required. I think it should also support BO universes.

Likelihood to Recommend

With Panoroma Necto, we have cool infographics built in which makes for an easier and a beautiful way to present the graphs or the reports to the end users. Necto does not actually need heavy coding or a need to understand loads of codes to create a graph. Using many inbuilt features we can present the report to the user and it is user friendly.
