Overall Satisfaction with Paubox Encrypted Email

Paubox enables us to communicate securely while maintaining the familiar convenience of email for the vast majority of our customers. Those few customers who use an email provider that doesn't support TTL encryption are automatically routed through a secure messaging portal.

Since Paubox was easy to integrate with our existing customer support system (HelpScout), we were able to continue using our preferred systems, making Paubox a truly seamless and mostly transparent solution.
  • Seamlessly chooses regular email when supported by our customer, and a secure messaging portal when not.
  • Integrates easily and transparently with existing email tools.
  • Reasonably priced.
  • The Paubox webmail is very primitive. But we wouldn't want to use that anyway since we already have preferred email tools and only wanted Paubox for a behind-the-scenes infrastructure component.
  • If Paubox is primarily an infrastructure play, which it seems to be best suited for, then it could have a very simple, modern web UX for sign-in and setup. As it is, it's pretty kludgy. But I only needed to interact with it a couple times to se everything up.
  • Paubox provided a plug-n-play solution, requiring no extra development, so the switchover cost was very low.
  • By integrating with our existing support system, Paubox added no overhead to our customer support.
  • The user experience is great for the vast majority of our customers (those whose email provider supports TTL encryption), so customer satisfaction remains high.
Great for secure communication with customers (e.g. for companies that fall under HIPAA). Could be a good option for B2B discussing sensitive information. Unnecessary for regular B2C communication.
