Overall Satisfaction with Primavera Unifier

We are EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) company who design and deliver big engineering facilities to our customers. We have been using Oracle ERP along with Primavera P6 as a scheduling tool. We use Primavera Unifier for Cost management and Change Management in our company, and it is integrated with Oracle ERP landscape.

Primavera Unifier is right fit for construction-based or engineering based companies where there is a need to manage project costs, resources and deliverables to meet customer requirements. It is well suited for companies that run on Oracle ERP and companies that use Primavera P6 for scheduling. Primavera Unifier also has Accelerators which are pre-configured components that can be enhanced as per the business requirement. Overall, a good tool for managing complex customer projects

SAP has similar capabilities (SAP EPPM) like Oracle Unifier for managing complex customer projects. Oracle Primavera Unifier was chosen for one of the legal entity within our organization which had Oracle as ERP tool, we introduced this for one of the biggest customer project to manage the costs, deliverables and changes more efficiently. We wanted to get rid of excel based cost planning to a more system driven solution.

Oracle Primavera Unifier is well suited for complex large scale customer projects where we need integrated project management tool. Primavera Unifier along with Oracle ERP and Primavera P6 provides the platform for managing and delivering such complex projects. It is less appropriate for small or medium size projects; this tool would be overkill for such projects
