Overall Satisfaction with Progress Sitefinity

We adopted the Sitefinity software back when it was in version 3.x and have continued to expand our Sitefinity portfolio. Sitefinity is not a lightweight package and therefore does have its challenges, but these challenges primarily involve changes to the "out-of-the-box" package. Progress has done an excellent job to keep abreast of the changing technology. The community is a very vibrant one with lots of support.
  • It provides an excellent library management package
  • It is extensible
  • It is progressive on its use of technology
  • Documentation lacks. There is no mapping of database fields and usage.
  • Some custom features are lacking completeness. However this can be corrected with expert programming.
Sitefinity is not suited for the small enterprise that does not have its own IT department with staff familiar with Sitefinity.
