Overall Satisfaction with Pure Storage FlashArray

Our Pure Storage deployment is in use across the entirety of our company as well as at our disaster recovery location. It is a mirrored solution where both sites are identical configurations. It is our primary storage. So it solves the problem of where we keep and maintain all of our company data.

Pros

  • Proactive support.
  • Making a case for their own excellence and supporting it with actual performance.
  • Pure Storage FlashArrays are very scalable and expandable.

Cons

  • We have no complaints.
  • The arrays have been reliable and as advertised.
  • We saved money upfront to the tune of $300K.
  • Their excellent support (as compared to Dell EMC’s pitiful support) saves man hours.
  • We will be able to extend our product life beyond the normal five-year mandatory refresh.
Pure Support is nine million times better than EMC ever was! And that is probably an understatement.

Pure Storage arrays are best suited in environments where you need your storage solution to last longer than the standard five years. Pure Storage allows for expansion and growth where other providers (specifically Dell EMC) do not. Pure keeps its promises and provides top-of-the-stack support. They are everything they were advertised to be.
