Overall Satisfaction with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform

On-prem. Early stages. Using RPM. Will be migrating to VM/Container in the upcoming year.

Streamlining certificate generation. Rebuilding failed container rotations. Looking to integrate JIRA and HITL.

Pros

  • Customizing Scripts
  • Inspiration of new ways to automate (Reviewing the library/galaxy)

Cons

  • We've had it get stuck or go slow on updating/syncing before. Opened tickets with support.
  • Giving us time back in repeat tasks.
  • Being able to get of off old script platforms/job tasks.
Wide range of use cases. Looking forward to converting all flows to HITL. We've already had nested scripts being able to be pulled for DB refreshes.
