Overall Satisfaction with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform
Ansible is currently used as a development and test tool to deploy any post installation configurations and fixes. If at any time during a new test deployment and we find issues, we use Ansible to push out changes to all the systems at once. Some of the changes include configuration updates or firewall changes.
Pros
- Provide friendly GUI for running playbooks
- Allow secure storage of credentials
- Automated deployment multiple systems simultaneously
Cons
- There is no easy method to rearrange templates in a workflow
- Being able to mask vars containing sensitive information
- Allow survey variables to be used in extra vars
- Automate fixes faster during development
