Overall Satisfaction with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform

Managing several hundred servers.
From patching to installing software

Pros

  • repeatability
  • Scale, once the playbook is done I can apply to hundreds of systems
  • allows, less technical staff to apply playbooks

Cons

  • yaml indent, is a pain
  • if then else command in playbook
  • cost reduction
  • time saving
  • repeatability
Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform is great once its up and running.
Getting it running takes a bit of effort.
Building execution environment is not straight forward I don't do it often enough, so when I have to do it again I have figure it out again
