Pros

  • Provide availability
  • Reduce complexity
  • Allow for redundant systems

Cons

  • Allow for more ease of use when using selinux.
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) allows us to connect with customers that have less deep pockets than our Microsoft customers.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) allows ease of use by combining logging and a by using an standerd way of interacting with software on any system.

In my opinion Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is very well suited to allow for clustering and providing an easy to use hard to master way of interacting with software. Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Linux in general allows me and my colleagues to implement custom solutions for our partners and customers.
