In our organization, we use Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) with 150+ servers for critical applications

Pros

  • stable OS
  • secure OS
  • straight forward to manage

Cons

  • validation of system after patching
  • easier upgrade route from older versions
  • I think there is room for improvement in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) with backwards compatibility
  • good logging
