Sage Accounting Review - Payroll not advised
Overall Satisfaction with Sage Accounting
I use Sage 50 in other jobs that I have and really like using it. The Sage Accounting is not too bad just a little harder to find some things I am looking for. Like a listing of the outstanding cheques.
The one thing I really do not like is Sage Payroll. It is not user friendly at all.
The only good thing about it is that I can work on it from Home or anywhere else I may be.

Pros
- You can clearly see a listing of cheques that have been entered but not paid
- Reconciling the bank statement is fairly easy
- Most reports are easily available
Cons
- Sage Payroll is very unfriendly to work with. No room for errors. Too difficult or impossible to correct
- Even though Employees need to be terminated by the administrator, it would be helpful if there was an area in the employees file to put the last day worked, last pay period and reason for leaving.
- Sage Accounting/Payroll and taken up an extreme amount of time trying to convert my knowledge from Sage 50 to using Sage Cloud
- I do like the way I can access Sage Cloud remotely.
