Sage Accounting
Overall Satisfaction with Sage Accounting
We use Sage for all our accounting needs, invoicing, taxes, etc., as well as HR and Payroll. We wanted to use it to help us manage our budget, track our expenses and income, and pay our employees. We are a small business and have 10 employees. We have given our accountant access to it so she can do our taxes. We have also linked our bank, loan, and credit accounts to it, so we don't have to manually enter all our income and expenses.
Pros
- Invoices
Cons
- Customer references do not allow you to repeat what is already referenced in another customer. We are a children's learning business, and I want to reference the children on the invoice, but there aren't enough characters for some names, and many children share the same name.
- Banking does not seem to work properly. I have tried to import transactions, but they don't import. I have to manually enter all transactions except invoices and employee payments.
- Automatic debits don't seem to work properly for employee payroll or expense payments. Some of the employees' payments go through, some bounce back. I know I submitted on time because some went through, and I can do e-transfers, so I know there is enough money in my account. I have had to start paying all my employees by e-transfer each payday
- Sage Accounting takes a lot of our time and energy.
- I Spend hours each month end entering data so I can do my reconciliation.
- I spend a lot of time doing e-transfers when Sage should be able to pay my staff directly.
