Thomson Reuters uses SalesForce to track leads and sales for our financial and risk products in the financial and risk sector of TR but also across the legal, tax and accounting section -and I think Reuters news use it too.

Well suited: to massive organizations where sales are critical, and analysis of sales even more important. Less appropriate for smaller organizations where the same is possible for a lower price point and perhaps detailed analytics aren't as useful.
