Overall Satisfaction with SAP Business Technology Platform

We use SAP Business Technology Platform to prepare for client engagements. We connect it to different systems, utilizing integration suite, and sap advanced events mesh. We also use it to develop new front end applications for clients. Finally we utilize CALM to manage projects and handling automated testing. We also utilize identity services to handle logon with ad groups

Pros

  • Integrations are easy to build towards SAP
  • It is much easier than expected to integrate AD/Entra with Identity services
  • The development platform is great

Cons

  • Queueing functionality in Integration Suite
  • Managing entitlements and services can be difficult to understand for new users / especially when working with folders
  • Cloud connectors would be great if they could be maintained in the cloud
  • Higher ease of use / ensuring it is easier for our graduates to use the platform
  • Easier to maintain code across multiple clients
  • Easier to maintain users
When developing Fiori apps that connect via integrations, I think it is cool to connect to it. The difficulty is keeping track of all the licenses needed. It would be nice to have an "all you can eat" subscription
SAP Business Technology Platform support is good at responding early, but we just had an experience where we were not able to deploy edge cell for over a month

When integrating SAP Business Technology Platform to SAP systems and even some non/SAP systems, I think it works well. IT is not that good at connecting non/sap to non/sap
