Overall Satisfaction with SAP Business Technology Platform

We use BTP for mobile start, a couple of CapM applications, and integration suite landscapes.

Pros

  • Capm application.
  • Business process automation.
  • Integration suite.
  • Signavio process insights.

Cons

  • Frequent Updates breaking things.
  • High availability in case one provider is down, like AWS or Azure.
  • Some services need scalability.
  • Pricing cockpit, which sends notifications daily, reduced human effort by 4 hours every day.
  • BPA unattended bots reduced BOL conversion, which was previously done manually, and also reduced errors due to manual mistakes.
  • Exposing on-premises Fiori apps using bwz enabled us to decommission the old Fiori client.
BPA provides out-of-the-box workflows that we can leverage for certain tasks.
Sometimes getting a resource immediately is difficult in case an update breaks our functionality.
I have seen and used at least one use case - I used it for task center configuration.
Easy integration with other SAP products.

The integration suite is well-suited as PO is getting its end of life. monitoring of some of the services is yet to be integrated into cloud ALM monitoring.
