Overall Satisfaction with SAP Business Technology Platform

We use SAP Business Technology Platform to fill the gap for modern Fiori web and mobile applications, as well as for integrations via Integration suite. We are also looking at it for further innovation in the mobile area with SAP MDK and automation and workflow with SAP Build Process Automation.

Pros

Cons

  • AI with on-prem ECC and S/4HANA
  • Cost of certain products
  • It has had a vastly improved speed of innovation and time to develop/deliver for SAP Business Technology Platform Fiori apps
  • Negative impact is that there are sometimes outages from SAP which can take SAP many hours to resolve.
SAP Business Technology Platform is a modern easy to use tool set, much simpler than what we knew in the past requiring Basis consultants or other admins. It's a brilliant toolset.
Support is mostly good, but sometimes when we have a major unplanned outage the support can be a lot better.
I have seen and used at least one use case - The content for SAP Business Technology Platform Build Process Automation was particularly useful in getting us up and running for a PoC very quickly.
We haven't looked at any competing products. We are a SAP house and we knew SAP Business Technology Platform was the right platform to extend what we have in our SAP ecosystem.
