Overall Satisfaction with SAP Integration Suite

We are using SAP Integration Suite for running WebIDE and GIT repositories to develop Fiori applications. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to use many of the benefits of SAP Integration Suite due to regulatory reasons.

Pros

  • Accessibility of coding tools across many platforms.
  • Many available tools all under one portal.
  • Ability to still use hybrid on-prem/cloud solutions.

Cons

  • The costs of SAP Integration Suite can be prohibitive.
  • Education around cloud technology can make it hard to adopt.
  • The setup time around deploying cloud solutions.
  • We have been able to develop over 20 Fiori applications and deploy them into production with WebIDE on the cloud platform.
  • Git repositories had changed the way we have been able to co-develop Fiori applications.
  • SAP Integration Suite brought development of Fiori into the modern age.
We are currently looking into CPI and API management to use along with traditional PI.
Certainly for other companies that are not bounded by regulatory restrictions or able to more easily adopt the newer technology, SAP Integration Suite provides a way to quickly and easily develop custom solutions.
