Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Using to integrate heterogeneous applications. Applications that span across on-premise, private cloud, and cloud solutions are being integrated seamlessly using SAP Integration Suite. For real time event based integrations we use event mesh. This helps to avoid many point to point connections and having all the applications interfacing and being monitored at a central location.

Pros

  • Quick plug and play for integrating between SAP ecosystems
  • Good monitoring and alerting capabilities, plug and play with SAP Cloud ALM for detailed centralized monitoring
  • Drill down facilities for billing and usage details

Cons

  • Performance to be improved: for simple point to point integrations with bare minimum data it takes relatively more time than other applications
  • No possibility to have a dedicated own license running on my own network
  • Need to improve providing more pre loaded connectors
  • No availability of AI usage in standard edition

Return on Investment

  • Positive: Quick plug and play connectors and a lot of solutions available in the accelerator hub for guided reference architecture, a lot of time saved in development efforts
  • Negative: Pricing will increase, especially for the standard edition, and only 10000 messages per month per tenant are part of license (as of today)
