Overall Satisfaction with SAP Datasphere
We use Datasphere as our Enterprise Warehouse. The native connections to S4HANA, ECC, and SuccessFactors helped us rapidly get there. Our scope is to build a Data Fabric with all our sources to consume, mainly from SAC. We have seen continuous improvement in the product since we started two years ago.
Pros
- Native connectivity.
- Data Federation.
- Flexible modeling.
Cons
- More ETL capabilities in Data Flow.
- Ability to leverage our CDS views.
- Easier connectivity to SAC.
We can federate and import data from many of our sources, cutting off the silos and simplifying analytics.
The simplification helped with raw data passing around in many places and 3rd party tools just cobsuming certified data from Datasphere.
Many unanswered questions are being answered, and our analysts have started discovering more information from our data in the Datasphere.
We have not implemented machine learning features yet. But we gained a lot from data automation.
