My SAP Positive Experience
Software Version
I use SAP E90 Finance and B90 BW Production modules
Modules Used
- SAP ERP Financials
- SAP ERP Operations
- BW Production
- I have been using these SAP modules for almost 3 years. They are vey user friendly and very easy to navigate through the menus. I did not receive much SAP training but found it was not long before I was up to speed on the types of transactions that I need to use in my daily work. I know there are many portions of SAP that I do not use but would be interested in learning more about.
Overall Satisfaction with SAP ERP
SAP is used across the whole organization at Tennant Company. I use it to process volume transfers between sales reps, set up and change hierarchies, set up and revise geo tables, and run reports. It is used by most team members to enter new data and report the financial condition of the company. I have been using these SAP modules for almost 3 years. Pros
- It does a good job of reporting by Area or Region of the country and the world.
- It gives good details of each transaction with the ability to show changes and the reason for the change.
- It can show the GP for the transaction the following day it has invoiced.
- It gives the correct details for each customer and can be customized by how the reports are shown.
Cons
- The documentation for SAP is hard to find and search for.
- It would be great if there was an undo button if you make a mistake.
- Increase in employee efficiency by being able to process more transactions
- Better customer service with easy access to the information needed to provide the answer quickly
- More timely reporting to management and customers with accurate information
I was not involved in the selection process but I find that SAP is easier to learn and more user friendly than Oracle.
