My company is SAP Partner and I have participated in several SAP implementation projects. I know SAP technology well and their business solutions, in particular the financials and talent management modules. SAP is a global and complete suite that covers all core processes an any organization (Production planning, Sales & Distribution, Financials, Human Resources). It´s a very robust solution, with deep functionality and multiple country localizations.
- SAP offers a complete suite of applications with multiple country localizations. It´s a very good option for a large sized international company that only wants one database and fully integrated system.
- Robust technology. Backend and front-end (SAP NetWeaver).
- A very good financials and supply chain solutions.
- Business Intelligence applications is very poor in visualizations tools and its configuration is very complex.
- It´s a very complex application, users and consultants need a high level of expertise.
- Some solutions, like talent management or project management are not very flexible. It's difficult to adapt to the business needs.
- High Funtionality level, global solution with multiple localizations. Complete suite of applications that cover almost all the funtional needs of a company. financials, HR, Supply Chains, CRM, and BI.
- Configuration complexity, high cost and complicated upgrades.
