Overall Satisfaction with SAP Field Service Management

We use FSM to optimize scheduling & planning capabilities for Missions & Maintenance management. In addition, it is also used for Mobile interfacing for Techs.

Pros

  • Skill based technician identification
  • Dispatching board brings an intuitive interface for scheulers
  • Mobile app brings easy to use user interface

Cons

  • Rigidity in screen modification on Mobile application
  • Windows apps lacks features like iOS & Android apps
  • Capacity based planning & scheduling is missing

Rigidity in screen enhancements. It very much relies on smarts forms which is good but it lacks the features like Inspection rounds which is more data driven for Inspections.

Good for Field Service but not good for Shop based Maintenance. Scheduling capabilities are limited to people only and lacks support for multi-resource scheduling. Rigid on Mobile application enhancements. Doesn't support Inspection rounds or similar functionality to capture qualitative or quantitative inspection results.
