Overall Satisfaction with SAP Integrated Business Planning

We need to staff based on forecasted calls and season changes as well as capacity planning. It allows for us to plug in schedules and determine future requirements and create a blueprint of what's needed for future staffing to take the required calls. Accuracy is usually key to our success, and it does come close and helps keep us profitable as meeting forecast is key to our profits.

Pros

  • Easy to operate and get used to
  • Accuracy in its reporting and future scheduling
  • Ability to view whether it's working and what needs to change or what we need to do to mitigate the risks

Cons

  • Struggled with integrating with our current systems
  • We needed to hire an expert, which increased our over head cost, in order for it to be used effectively
  • Struggle to show high level information to someone not in the team, like Operations or another area of the business that needs this information
  • We improved productivity. We staffed the right number of people to take calls at the right time, ensuring no extra costs and great customer satisfaction. Increased profits
  • We had a 99% accuracy in demand vs supply. It was only off once in a monthly cycle
  • We are able to extract and analyze trends, look at where we could plan differently to get better results in future
It helped improve profitability by the accuracy of its forecasting. It helped in so many ways from the way it creates scheduling opportunities and has an in depth view of why it does that and how it's going to look in the future

We wanted to be able to share data across the site and folders were taking alot of space and manual interventions weren't working effectively. Especially with an increase I'm size, it needed to be easily accessible to the teams that work with this. The forecasting was important and with a high amount of staff, manual intervention was not possible

I found it most suited when we need to have a certain number of staff available to handle the in take, and we have the forecasted actual to meet this, to ensure we staffing accurately and the volume of calls meets the requirement to ensure the service level is met and we do not incur any penalties or create a poor customer experience. Great system overall.

Very useful. Already have a team that learnt the system and although took a while, they now use it seamlessly
