Overall Satisfaction with SAP Integrated Business Planning

We use SAP Integrated Business Planning for Demand Planning and SNOP. We are exploring this SAP tool to get production planning as well. We at Callaway have been using APO as a tool for planning and are currently migrating the solution over to IBP

  • Tight integration with SAP
  • Ease of use for business
  • Cockpit to monitor everything at one go

Cons

  • Job scheduling and monitoring in terms of dependencies in SAP ERP system
  • Prebuilt connector for Supply protection data. This goes as an input for planning and not an easy way to get this data out
  • Prebuilt MRP data flow into IBP from SAP ERP systems
  • One stop destination to look at SNOP and Demand Planning
  • Ease of use for business users
  • Ability to perform out of box reporting capability. Tight integration with Excel is a game changer
