Overall Satisfaction with SAP Integrated Product Development

We use SAP Integrated Product Development mainly to streamline how we handle expense reporting across teams. Some problems it helps solve are spend visibility and slow approvals. Our scope includes expense requests, reporting, approvals, and generating data to tie back into our core finance systems.

Pros

Cons

  • Interface between requests/approvals and expense reports
  • Auto email to receipt function
  • Warning Specifics on what field is incorrect
  • It allows more working time. Saves at least 3 hours a month.
  • It allows me to throw away receipts after taking a picture.
  • It allows for easier explanation of expenses.
Great except it could use an option to transfer an approval to an existing expense report. That would make it a 10. Being able to have the option to ad an expense to an approval or an approval to an expense report would make things smoother.

Requesting preapproval for something is very easy and has helped speed processes up. Expenses can be added directly to the request too which is helpful. Receipts can be scanned and input via app. All of those together features working together helped me get my reports in without taking too much time.
