Use Cases and Deployment Scope

SAP S/4HANA Cloud is used in my company to perform astute and meticulous ETL operations and generate visualized reports for frontend analytics dashboard. In the backend we have Hadoop supported big data servers which are used to create data lakes for sorting data for front end visualization. SAP S/4HANA Cloud helps the organization to provide the necessary ETL functions to the developers so that they can leverage on the data lake to produce front end analytics capabilities to different departments in the organization. Overall, the SAP S/4HANA Cloud is full a package to deliver high end ETL solution.

Query response is very fast with minimal lag time
It provide multiple database access
Easy to integrate with multiple external and internal systems

It is priced very high compared to competitive products
Use of analytical editor is very complex
Implementation is very complex and requires resources

Return on Investment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud provides better integration and saves costs on third party APIs
Multiple features of the package saves money on third party visualization applications
Performs multiple backend tasks so doesn't require multiple systems to support functionality

Usability

The product is user centric and provides guidance manual for training the users. The features are easily readable and high end effective for all users. The intergation is highly effective and gives the user a streamlined view of the data from various sources. Non technical users are highly benefitted because of these features that are loaded on SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Overall, SAP S/4HANA Cloud capabilities for users are user friendly and efficient in producing results.

Alternatives Considered

MongoDB

SAP S/4HANA Cloud provides better real time data processing abilities compared to MongoDB. Complex queries can be analyzed and processed in realtime using SAP S/4HANA Cloud. The reaction time is much lower than that of the MongoDB. Data processing is much faster and efficient in SAP S/4HANA Cloud compared to that of MongoDB. Integration capabilities are very high and integration systems integrates very well with other internal and external systems. Overall, SAP S/4HANA Cloud has high processing capabilities compared to MongoDB.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud is very well suited for processing complex ETL operations on a large database which requires fast and complex analytical capabilities to process big data. It provides a better capabilities to leverage on complex big data using queries and real time processing features. Its frontend capabilities provides value generated reports to visualize the data. It is not suitable for small size data operations, as it wont provide a better functionality for that data size. It is also not appropriate for multi source data integration, which can make the process more complex.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud support and customer service team is very helpful. They are very knowledgeable people who can help you implement and resolve issues with the SAP product. They are available 24/7 to help resolve issues and the wait times are very low. Support services are provided at a cost affordable to the organization. Support has multiple departments each specialized in providing different technical support. This helps my organization to connect faster and get the issue resolved.
