Overall Satisfaction with SAP S/4HANA Cloud

We use SAP S/4Hana for Finance, Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing and Projects. It allows us to manage inventory, plan manufacturing from start to finish and manage project budget while compiling essential reporting for financial reporting and decisions.

Cons

  • some reports do not have fields needed
  • although cloud is more user friendly than ECC, it has some other capabilities that were eliminated limiting workflow capabilities
  • positive as some efficiency has improved but some has worked in the other direction
  • more information is readily available
  • whether it works well depends on how well it was setup (garbage in-garbage out)
  • better cost tracking
It is good but requires well trained staff and guidance to understand.

We looked at the overall capabilities, price, reputation, and what our other partners were using. Overall we had a company do an analysis on our current company and system and make an overall recommendation based on their review.
We have not started using AI with SAP cloud yet, but we would like to learn more and implement some of these tools after seeing them in action at the Sapphire event.

It is a well developed system that is great for manufacturing. i dont feel we have tapped into enough of the capailities to fully utilize it. For small companies it is cumbersome to set up and some of the functionality. there are some limitations also in AP.
