Overall Satisfaction with ServiceNow Enterprise Asset Management

We use it to collect the vast amounts of servers, switches, ups's, routers, laptops and desktops across the environment. We are a large company and there are too many pieces of equipment to keep track of in something limited like Excel. All the different categories and fields have organize all the equipment so we can find something easily. It is also very helpful having this stored in the cloud where many people can access it at the same time.
  • Keeping everything safe in the cloud
  • large number if fields to describe each device
  • multi user access
  • better scanning ability of mid server
  • easier method to edit field names
  • cloud storage
  • multi access
  • helps us stay organized
  • removes human error of data entry
It does a pretty good job when compared to CounterACT by Forescout. To be honest the inventory our CounterACT servers collect on every device on the network is vast compared to what is in SNOW. CounterACT has a module for SNOW and can share its CMDB. We hope to utilize in the future.

Yes

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy ServiceNow Enterprise Asset Management again?

Yes

Companies with a lot of devices to keep track of. Maintaining an inventory in something on prem and not sturctured could lead to a mess of data. It is better to have it in the cloud with drop down choices to pick up. That way people can't write anything they want and you wind up with no consistency.
