Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I used Snap to judge all state music auditions. It helps simplify and streamline the process between multiple adjudicators and creates a simple platform for students to upload performance videos.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Allows for comments/feedback of performances
Login/setup was somewhat straightforward
Videos loaded quickly and easily with few exceptions

Cons

Some videos wouldn't load properly, creating challenges for students. Perhaps widen the scope of formats accepted.
More nuance in the scoring would be helpful, especially the use of decimals in the point system.

Return on Investment

Since I was just an adjudicator I can't speak to this.

I don't know of anything better, but there are definitely still some areas for improvement. The overall format/layout/design could be more intuitive and visually appealing. It feels basic, though enough time has passed that I can't offer specifics.

I previously mentioned the scoring system. I would like to be able to use decimals and have multiple categories to score (for percussion, for example, a separate score for timpani, keys, and snare drum, in addition to a total score). I also suspect that some of the videos didn't load because students uploaded the wrong format, so more accepted formats might be helpful. I had some that would freeze halfway through the video, so it clearly wasn't a format issue.

Thank you so much for your review! As far the scoring decimal points, that is setup by the audition admin who can allow judges (adjudicators to include decimals or not). The video is tricky because sometimes internet connections are not great or consistent. We use tech similar to YouTube to ensure the highest quality video experience. Thanks again!
