Overall Satisfaction with TalentLMS

TalentLMS is used here for Internal Employee Onboarding and Continuing Education. We began transitioning to an online learning management system and researched several before finally choosing this one.

Pros

  • Allows Groups, where several learners can be enrolled and progress tracked all at once for a particular set of courses
  • Making updates and changes to courses and settings is fairly easy from the Admin view
  • Their AI content creator, TalentCraft, is useful for courses on universal/professional topics.
  • Their TalentLibrary selection of pre-made courses is expansive, engaging, and ready-to-use. They're always updating it with relevant topics and industries as well.

Cons

  • The size of the uploaded content being too large has been an issue before.
  • The reporting features are very limited, and can't be modified or automated as much as I'd like.
  • When user progress is reset for additional quiz attempts, past attempts and scores are not saved.
  • Test/Assignment scoring & results are not easily reviewed from SCORM courses like they are with quizzes created directly in TalentLMS
  • Increased Learning Engagement

  • Decreased Employee Onboarding/Training Time
Unless you pay for the Live assistance, help is delayed by a day or two, and doesn't always provide a solution, sometimes just verifies that it isn't a feature currently available.
Met our immediate needs, but also had a few barriers that we had to manually work around - which was feasible for my department of one in our small company, but might not be for larger ones.

Great for getting basic LMS features at a low cost when you're a small company getting content established and gamified. For larger companies with bigger goals, you may want to look at other platforms.
