Departmental use for analyzing biotech research data.
- Cloud deployment makes data accessible anywhere.
- Ability to customize and save visualization formats/templates is very useful.
- Joining data from multiple tables is simplified in Spotfire vs other platforms.
- Initial setup of our Team account was very painful.
In the end, Spotfire makes visualization easier and prettier, but makes number crunching more difficult. We don't find Spotfire to be a complete replacement for traditional data tools like Excel.
- Slightly negative ROI . Our users prefer the visualization of Spotfire, but are generating only basic charts and graphs. Given the premium pricing of Spotfire, we are paying more per chart on this platform.
