Overall Satisfaction with Unique Learning System

We use the Unique Learning System every day at school. I teach an autism-specific, 1st and 2nd-grade, and I have students on all 3 levels of the Unique Learning System curriculum. This leveled instruction greatly benefits my students. I like to print the materials for hands-on learning. I like to use the N2Y options available for my students.

Pros

  • Differentiated materials
  • Stories with related materials, i.e. a leveled story and then math worksheets pertaining to the same characters
  • Current stories happening in the world

Cons

  • Some of the material seems too difficult for the students
  • Need more material for Kindergarten and 1st graders
  • It would be nice if you could choose a more interesting voice for the read aloud mechanism
  • Connection with state standards
  • Introduction of important subject material
  • Variety of learning
I've learned how to use all of these items, but my preference is the benchmark testing and the results of progress.
I feel that Unique Learning System reaches my students best by printing the stories, printing the comprehension questions with either errorless learning, a field of 2 or 3 answers, etc., works best for engagement in my class.
Once I was trained on it, it was easy. Setting everything up too a lot of time though.

Do you think Unique Learning System delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Unique Learning System's feature set?

Yes

Did Unique Learning System live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Unique Learning System go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Unique Learning System again?

Yes

Unique Learning System is best used in my autism classroom when materials are printed and used during small-group activities. When trying to teach in a whole-group setting, only about half of the class pays attention to the lessons. They seem a little too long at times and not engaging, so a small group seems more appropriate for my students.
