Overall Satisfaction with Varonis Data Security Platform

We had many visibility issues in our Active Directory and file server environment. Varonis helped us see the environment more clearly and mitigate the reported risks. We corrected several errors in AD, fixed privileges in the environment, were able to verify the number of files accessed on the file server and whether some accesses were really necessary, and we made the necessary corrections.

Because the tool delivers on its promises and forces us to explore each functionality. Using the tool leads us to seek more knowledge and apply it to our environment, mitigating risks, reducing the attack surface, increasing the team's technical knowledge, and boosting team growth. It also demonstrates to senior management that the tool is extremely necessary for the environment.

Based on my recent experience attempting an integration with an existing system, I believe Varonis doesn't perform well in environments lacking standardized file types, such as PDF, ZIP, JPG, and others. Environments without this standardization make it more difficult for Varonis to recognize the data.Therefore, I recommend a Proof of Concept (POC) before actual implementation in the environment.
