Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup for AWS
We've been using Veeam Backup & Replication for a long time. Which is a great application. We have a perpetual license which gets all the virtual machine backup and recovery tasks accomplishes smoothly. Hence, last year we tried out Veeam Backup for AWS for an EC2 instance. Being an existing user of Veeam it made it easy to understand the main options of the Veeam on AWS. Veeam makes great software that is much easier to use and implement than the other backup software available in the market.
- Instant recovery is a great feature which is like snapshots in VMware.
- Application-aware processing allows to explore the application components in the backup and allows to restore a particular part of the application.
- Compression is an area where Veeam should work.
- It's very cost-effective.
