We use Veeam as the primary back for all office 365 system
including email, teams, SharePoint, and onedrive.

it allows for full and incremental backs on-prem and then a secondary backup in the cloud which provides us with fantastic resiliency

veeam is good for simple backups and within low touch enviroments.
it doesn't seem to have much intelligence if a items fails.

If one Item takes X amount of time and you have to cancel the job all item backups are lost for that day
