Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365
With many years of experience with Veeam on-prem, moving to their cloud product was a no brainer. Initially we had to wait for the release of backup-to-azure storage but with this implemented everything has been great.
Like most backup products, data gets backed up, painlessly, and it all just works.

- Backups.
- Restores.
- It would be nice to have it as an app rather than requiring a VM to host the infrastructure.
- We needed backups of our cloud, and this was the piece that my managers needed to know I implemented to get cloud migration approved.
O365 only has 90-day data retention by default. My users often want data much older than that, and so I need to store data longer than O365 gives me access to.
As of yet, we haven't restored data for retrieval requirements, but backups running nightly, data is stored, and everything I expect from a backup product is delivered.
They are largely the same. Backupify had no plans for Azure VM backups in the box. Veeam, while currently not supporting this, have a roadmap.
