Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication

We use Veeam Backup and Replication in our company to back up the local VMs. Currently the Veeam VM runs on the same esxi host as the other VMs - the backup destination is a NAS.
  • Esxi integration.
  • Storage support.
  • Live recovery.
  • No proxmox support.
  • No OS/it needs a Windows VM.
  • It's free (community edition).
We only use Veeam Backup & Replication to back up 2 VMs - one application server and the backup server itself.
Well suited for small and big environments where esxi is used together with one or multiple clusters. If you use proxmox you don't have the ability to use all the functions in Veeam.
