Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication
We use Veeam Backup & Replication to safeguard all our virtual servers and backup daily. It also allows us to replicate off-site and then to a tape for offline storage.
- Virtualized workloads
- Endpoints and physical servers running Windows & Linux
- Application-centric recovery using Veeam Explorers (for Exchange, SQL, Sharepoint, etc)
- License portability as your environment needs change
- Immutable storage to protect against ransomware
- “Instant” recovery or portability between platforms (physical > virtual > cloud-hosted)
- Application-centric recovery using Veeam Explorers (for Exchange, SQL, Sharepoint, etc)
- Extremely quick restores
- Ability to backup any server within minutes
- Full reporting and alerts of each backup
- Improve automation
- Improve repository handling
- Perhaps better duplication to tape for vbk files.
We have 3 hosts with approximately 15 VMs. This is about what we expected, but due to new licensing, this is a little below where we would like to be.
- More confident with our data recovery plans
- Simple offsite replication
Veeam Backup & Replication was recommended by an infrastructure expert when refreshing our servers, and we have never looked back.
We have only benefited from our own "cloud" infrastructure hosted in data centers.
We have not used this yet.
