Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Platform
We used to have a very fragmented data backup situation. Our desktops were not being backed up regularly, and our servers would use Backup Exec to a tape library. We weren't sure if our backups even succeeded with Backup Exec, and the cost to store large amounts of data with Backup Exec were high. We have an old install of Veaam for backing up certain VMs, but it had been neglected and the version was very old.
We decided to turn off Backup Exec completely, and invest in a subscription to Veeam so we could upgrade to the latest version. We now have all desktops and server backing up daily, and have integrated our tape library backups with Veeam, which are also automated now. We also have monitoring going with VeaamOne so we know when backups fail and can't react.

We transitioned leadership from a previous employee and were not confident that the existing backup solution (Backup Exec) would perform properly in the event of data loss.
Yes..pushing workloads to Amazon for additional redundancy.
Yes...we have been able to recover deleted files for employees that in the past would have been gone for good.
