Overall Satisfaction with Viewpoint Vista
Vista by Viewpoint is our central accounting software used throughout the majority of the company (i.e. Vista is used by all office employees. field employees generally do not have access to the software as it is unnecessary). Vista facilitates many of our processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, project management, etc.
- I find it particularly useful that Vista allows the user to code and create different reports, tailored to a company's needs.
- I like how many modules, programs, and reports are available. I can typically find everything that I need for a project without having to create a custom report.
- Vista does not currently have a function in which an administrator can "close" a past period for the general users and keep the period "open" for a select number of users. In order for our controller to perform his month-end tasks, he must keep the period open to all users and this has occasionally caused problems when someone accidentally posts something in the incorrect period.
- Vista by Viewpoint has helped our company to expand and compensate for high volumes of data. Vista is a huge improvement to the software we were using prior to it.
