Vultr provides Ubuntu cloud servers - web-servers, a application server and a database server

Pros

  • Good value for money
  • Simple administration - far simpler than AWS
  • Responsive support

Good prices, and I can pick options that are sufficient for my needs - I am not paying for capacity that I don't need.
Most of my customers are in Australia. It is a MUST that I have an Australian data centre.
  • Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2)
Vultr is much cheaper than AWS, and also simpler to set up and use
