Webroot Business Endpoint Protection + MDR

Overall Satisfaction with Webroot Endpoint Protection

We have used Webroot from 2010 until 2022 at which time we downgraded to just using Webroot DNS and started using Huntress EDR. It worked well for threat landscape our clients faced at the time, however as the threat environment changed, we sought out a more robust product.

Pros

  • Cloud management
  • granular configuration options
  • fairly good malware blocking
  • Integration with MSP platform

Cons

  • Lighter weight client side application
  • Better response time with tech support
  • Stronger content filters and sandboxing options
  • The DNS filtering allows for a very granular configuration of endpoints
  • The cost to benefit ratio is good. It is not a real EDR player yet, but the development looks promising
  • Its best feature is integration with our MSP software, providing actionable tickets.
The product is easy to deploy, is fairly good at detections, not having a people operated SOC is a limitation. Hopefully there will be some development with the AI interfaces soon.
Webroot is a player, not as mature as others, however, has a favorable price point
