Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan XL Reporting

The solution is integrated with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central/NAV. This allows reporting across 2 key areas. 1. General Ledger for financial statements 2. Inventory, which allows reporting of sales by item, category, salesperson, customer... inventory balances The solution is deployed via a web browser with security filtering by dimension. This allows users at branches around Australia to access timely an accurate reports - showing just the data they are allowed to view

Pros

  • Easy to install
  • Easy to create and maintain reports
  • Easy to publish a report to the web portal
  • Support all recent versions of MS Excel
  • Excellent support and YouTube videos

Cons

  • Managing custom SQL connections
  • The way tables are generated and edited
  • Standard option to get Last Cube update
  • Default Date dimension selected to be today
  • Answer users questions - so saves accounts answering them
  • Promotes transparency across the organisation
  • Timely reporting
I have used many other BI tools. Most promise a lot but are too expensive or don't deliver. I have found XLCubed easy to deploy, roll out and use.
XLCubed is easy to setup and use. With Cognos you need a university degree to setup the product.

I have found XLCubed to be well suited to most organisation sizes. While we implement against Microsoft Dynamics we have also successfully used XLCubed against all types of data. This includes hospitals, manufactures, distributors and financial services providers. Is not well suited to "live" reports.

Anaplan XL Reporting Support

We don't have many support issues as we have implemented many sites. While the support is based in the UK we have always received a timely response to any question.
