Overall Satisfaction with Yubico YubiKeys
We use Yubico YubiKeys to secure all of our most important company accounts. We make great use of its fido2 capabilities across many services. SMS 2fa is insecure and TOTP authenticator apps come with their own headaches and differ greatly across platforms. While Yubico YubiKeys mostly works consistently and simply across platforms. They also provide a very easy mental model for how employees should think of Yubico YubiKeys and the responsibilities involved. We simply tell everyone to treat their Yubico YubiKeys as if it were a physical key to the office. We also really love the Yubico YubiKeys bios, its UV feature is really great for things like LUKS full disk encryption or SSH keys. I hope Yubico releases a bios v2 YubiKey that greatly increases the resident key limit, increases the lockout attempt from 3 to 5, and adds NFC.

- Yubico YubiKeys resident keys (aka passkeys) have a crazy low limit (25).
- Yubico YubiKeys' Bios need a slightly increased lock-out limit - Increase from 3 to 5, please.
- Yubico YubiKeys' Bios is too expensive, and lacking in basic features. It is missing features even the security key series has but costs 4x as much. Comparing it to a series of 5 features is even worse.
- Yubico YubiKeys' Bios needs NFC. Not sure how this would work with the power limits of NFC but it needs it. I've plugged my bio into a large variety of phones and on most, it fails to work.

Deploying Yubico YubiKeys company-wide to our most important systems has allowed me to sleep peacefully at night.
Yubico YubiKeys provides a very easy mental model for how employees should think of Yubico YubiKeys and the responsibilities involved. We simply tell everyone to treat their YubiKeys as if they were a physical key to the office. Besides the introduction of passkeys, we have had very little push back or issues with them over all.
