Overall Satisfaction with Zix Email Encryption (ZixEncrypt)
We use Zix across our whole enterprise. We needed a policy-based email encryption system to protect us from unintentional disclosures of confidential information. We didn't want to have to rely on individual employees to decide what email messages need to be sent securely and which ones do not. Our ZixGateway takes care of that for us and that makes me sleep better at night.
- Scans every message to determine if it needs to be sent securely according to the policies we defined.
- Our ZixGateway uses what Zix calls the "Best Method of Delivery" to send messages securely. We particularly like the TLS First feature that attempts to send messages needing security via a TLS connection directly to the recipient which is more user-friendly than other methods of secure delivery.
- The whole system is very reliable. We rarely have any support issues, but when we do, Zix Support is always very dependable, knowledgeable and professional.
- The initial configuration of the ZixGateway is pretty involved. You have to put some serious thought into how you construct your policies because you are going to be depending on this logic to decide what gets sent securely.
- As Zix has evolved over the years, they've included features that have significantly improved the user-friendliness of secure messaging. Their Best Method of Delivery model is an excellent way to handle delivering messages to a wide-variety of recipients in the most friendly manner possible.
- Zix certainly adds to my peace of mind. The system just works and it makes the decisions for you in terms of what needs to be sent securely.
- All of the positives I've mentioned about Zix has made it one of the easiest systems we have in terms of user adoption. It would be difficult for us to move to anything else now that we've used Zix.
We wanted something that was common in our industry so our clients and partners would understand it. We also wanted an email encryption system that was policy-based so our users didn't have to do anything to ensure private information was well-protected. Zix fits the bill in both instances.
