Best Damn DAM there is!
- They offer valuable guidance and educational resources to Administrators
- Their I.T. support is knowledgeable and responsive. And friendly!
- They build community among Acquia DAM (Widen) Admins
- They aren't as salesy and pushy as many of the other DAM Vendors that we considered. I don't feel like they are constantly trying to upsell me or take advantage. I hope this continues to be the case with the acquisition by Acquia.
- They're just plain nice people to work with.
- The level of attention and responsiveness of their CSMs has reduced some since the acquisition by Acquia.
- There is room for improvement in their Acquia DAM (Widen) Certification exam process.
- We occasionally experience a lag in download speed of assets, especially when the user is using a conversion.
Frequent User at Our Institution
- Search engine works great
- Loads previews quickly
- Tracks analytics of who is using what and how much
- Is secure
- Not sure if it's available or not, but the drag and drop InDesign plug-in was very helpful in previous versions (not seeing it in there).
- Sometimes it takes too many clicks to get to my saved collections
- Wish i could work on multiple collections at once, but you can only move selected images to one collection at a time
Acquia DAM (Widen) is a Worthwhile DAM Solution
- Stores assets in particular categories and sub-categories.
- Can quickly find the assets through various means.
- Able to house multiple kinds of assets.
- Downloading images could be a little smoother.
- Navigating the Admin Settings can be a bit tedious at times.
A great hub to house all your content!
- Hosts images
- Provides different formats to download images
- Feeds images and content to our website
- When you are searching and you need to go back it doesn't always bring you back to the page you were before, but to the overall view and that can be frustrating.
- The "selection" tool is confusing- I will select images and when I download it will have images from a past selection. I wish there was a way to organize this better.
- When I choose to download and it says it will email the images to me I get an email that sends me back to the page to press download. Why can't I just do that from the get-go?
Basic level of organization
- Collections are helpful to keep assets organized.
- Linking collections to portals and having them auto update if assets in the collection changes.
- In my experience, it's difficult to move assets around if they were accidentally uploaded to wrong collection or category. I also wish the category structure could be nested.
- There aren't enough parameters in uploading content so if someone less familiar with DAM will end up dumping assets anywhere which turns the DAM into a disorganized dumping ground.
- I'd love to see a more robust templating tool that would make it easy and intuitive for non-designers to come in and create what they need without so many options.
- Implementation for DAM
- Asset Tagging
- Get actual marketers involved in product development
- Differentiate users into paid and unpaid
- Throw out your workflow forms and please start over with input from actual end users
Easy Implementation, thanks to support team
- Project planning and implementation
- Ability to tag and catalog images
- Personal support to configure to our unique needs
- I don't have any recommendations on areas of improvement.
- Leverage metadata to improve search
- The ability to customize external facing portal, user dashboards and collections while retaining ability to search and download
- Batch update metadata
- Being able to swap filenames when they're mixed between two assets
- Allow a download all option for all portals, collections and saved searches
- Allow more flexibility in designing portal pages
Acquia DAM (Widen) Enables Global Brand Consistency
- AI metadata
- Insights
- Digital asset management
- Portal functionality could be better from an admin set-up perspective
This DAM really Widen-ed our minds to what is possible .
- Ease of upload has made the transition faster than expected.
- Mete Data import is very easy with the mass upload from spreadsheet or CSV file feature.
- support is top notch, we can access help in a number of ways from user groups, to in application help to email support for more complicated questions.
- There needs to be better communication between The DAM and PIM systems. When images are uploaded to the DAM, there should be a trigger that queries the PIM for any meta data. This automation would save companies hundreds of hours a year.
Best in class DAM
- Metadata management
- Remote access
- User Interface
- Customer support
- Design capabilities
- Chat support
- UX
It works for Work
- Making collections
- Uploading files
- Being reliable in most cases
- The look of the website; lay out, colors
- User-friendly
- Very "work oriented"
- Online links that open in browser
- Easy bundling in online platforms
- Friendly user experience
- The search of items on the cloud is not too advanced. We need to type the exact name of the asset in search and still receive too many results.
- The upload of one asset can be too time consuming and some fields are duplicated without clear purpose.
- The user experience in smaller screens.
Acquia DAM (Widen) Leaves a Lot to Be Desired
- Uploading
- Collections
- Sharing
- Portal web page editor capabilities need to be enhanced greatly.
- The analytics app, Insights, needs major overhaul and improvements
- The ability to collect performance metrics on audio files is absent.
Two thumbs up for Acquia DAM (Widen)
- Asset management
- Metadata
- Versioning
- Dashboard features
The Best DAM Out There!
- Customer Support - they always reply quickly and their implementation specialists go above and beyond. They really provide you with the tools you need to get the most out of your collective. They listen to customer requests and suggestions and are constantly improving the user experience.
- Customizable - We have multiple business units that have different needs and workflows. We've been able to customize our metadata fields, asset groups, and user roles to accommodate the complexities of our company.
- Portals - the ability to share assets with a variety of audiences in a platform that we can customize to reflect our brands has been a huge improvement from our dated-looking extranets and Sharepoint sites that we used previously. They are also really easy and quick to create!
- We'd love to see more collaborative options for the Collections function and more customizable insights.
Acquia DAM (Widen) is a Company You Can Trust
- It provides great implementation support.
- Love their university of courses - the videos are very helpful.
- Their tech support is very knowledgeable.
- Their DAM is easy to navigate.
- I would like to see more one-on-one support on a regular basis once the implementation phase is over.
- I would love to see more design options for headers on their portals.
Range of Possibilities was Widened
- Allows for a variety of tagging and categorization.
- Easy to update and upload large files.
- Great to have a shared site for the whole company to use.
- Would love a drag and drop feature for the 'Add a Version' tool.
- More mandatory tag options for consistency.
- The new upload feature doesn't allow you to add new tags.
A simple but effective tool for managing many images.
- Batch editing for changing Metadata.
- Advanced Search feature.
- Multiple-asset Search.
- Whenever I create a Collection, it saves it in my personal collections folder. if I need to use it as a Global Collection so other users can see it, I have to click each collection one by one and then navigate back to the list of collections. It is a huge waste of time. It would be much easier if I could save the collection as a Global collection with one click.
- Cannot duplicate Requests in Workflow so every request has to be tediously re-entered. Duplicating would allow easier submission when doing many similar project requests.
- I would like to toggle ON/OFF the activity feed on the home page based on User Roles.
