Overall Satisfaction with QuickBase

It's used across our whole organisation for a variety of purposes, examples include keeping HR records, shift data, tool information and so on. We have approximately 50 or so applications which are accessed by a variety of our users, based on either projects they are working on or roles they have in the company. We have a lot of applications which are cross-linked too.
  • Very easy to create new applications, you can copy existing ones or build from scratch.
  • QB support is excellent - we always get quick responses to our queries and there are a lot of help articles online too which are very useful.
  • UI is very user friendly and quite intuitive.
  • UI is a bit old fashioned now, could do with a bit of an overhaul just to make it a bit more modern.
Yes completely, it's super easy to use and very quick to set up new applications. We have a few super users who have a good working knowledge of how to create, edit and maintain these applications and assist other users with changes and questions etc. As previously mentioned, QB help is excellent, when there are things we need to do that we can't work out - QB support is very helpful and responsive.
Price and ease of usability were a key factor in choosing QB. The data integration APIs were also key to us.
QB is easy to use for non-IT professionals. Most of our non-tech staff don't build applications themselves but rely on our IT staff to do them, however, non IT staff are able to add and edit fields easily and move fields around in forms. Table relationships are a little beyond most of our non-IT staff so they reach out to tech for support for creating those. QB has its own coding which we use rarely but it is a bit of a challenge sometimes as it's built just for QB - we do sometimes have to reach out for QB support for creating complex fields etc.
  • Building and deploying business applications faster
  • Improving collaboration across one or more teams
I update QB apps daily and it's very easy to do. The last time was to edit form fields and form layouts which is super easy in QB. Recently I've also created table-table cross app relationships and moved data via an API to another DB platform which is a simple step by step process with full support from QB support docs.
It's very simple to set up new applications in QuickBase (QB). One scenario we use it for is for keeping shift data for our systems, we can easily customize our fields to suit our requirements and link tables together. Granting custom access to certain users is very simple, we can easily lock down areas we don't want them to view etc., or areas where they can only view and not edit.
