Considered Both Products
Apple Pay
Chose Apple Pay
Apple Pay integrates just as seamlessly as the rest of the Apple ecosystem
Chose Apple Pay
Google Pay covers all google users, but Apple Pay works better with iphone users.
Chose Apple Pay
Apple Pay is easier because you don't need to use the app to send or request payments. You can just store card information and use your electronic device to pay. In addition, receipts are automatically generated and stored for easy reimbursement. Venmo generally requires …
Chose Apple Pay
When I had my Android/Samsung phone, I tried Samsung's version of Apple Pay and it was terrible. It was very glitchy, and sometimes I would get a notification that I paid for something when I wasn't even in a checkout screen, like I was just browsing the internet or something …
Chose Apple Pay
Newer, less old framework to worry about. It has the Apple name with it and basically comes ready to use on their devices which is nice for the audience who will be using it.
Chose Apple Pay
Apple is easier to use less work to set up. Easy to integrate and use.
Chose Apple Pay
It's a universal payment platform at this point, and every Apple user can simply donate using the program. Other payment servers take time to set up and type in card numbers, whereas Apple Pay is set up and ready to go.
Chose Apple Pay
Our choice to use Apple Pay was made because of the fast and easy access to funds, it is largely accepted by most vendors and it is a knowingly secure platform for transactions. Making it a trusted and effective resource for our company to utilize. We also found the setup to be …
Chose Apple Pay
Apple Pay and Google Pay are very similar function-wise but vary significantly in design. We chose Apple Pay for its improved security over physical card transactions. Apple pay also provides a much simpler user interface for the customer when processing a transaction, unlike …
Chose Apple Pay
I've used Concur Travel and Expense in the past and I very much liked that expenses were automatically inputted into the Concur reimbursement system. However, when I've used Concur for work, I had a corresponding credit card without Apple Pay -- so I used the credit card …
Chose Apple Pay
More functionality within Apple Pay. Using multiple cards, accessing without opening phone.
Chose Apple Pay
Apple is still superior to other things there. I am not too familiar with android payment systems, so I can't compare that. But I also know our customers prefer PayPal Payments, which does make payments easy, but it isn't as seamless as Apple Pay. Apple Pay is still the best …
Thryv
Chose Thryv
I chose Thryv not just because the price was budget-friendly but because of the ease of use and ability to learn how to leverage the platform to meet my business's growing needs.
Chose Thryv
I realized Thryv could help me BUILD a customer list and that is what it will really make my website work. I am counting on Thryv to help me get to where I am going which is a money-making plus-size clothing website by using all of its features. Thryv is not a quick fix it is …
Chose Thryv
Thryv is much more robust in what it can do. It is so robust that I learn something new it can do, or it offers almost every day. There are things that the others I tried did that Thryv does not, and things that the others do better, but when push comes to shove I went with the …
Chose Thryv
Let's say use this software because it gives a lot of benefits to the company and we no other software use do not.

Chose Thryv
Thryv was more user-friendly and cost-effective for the services it provides.

If you accept payments while selling goods and services, Apple Pay can help you speed up the payment process while securely accepting payments. Since there is no need to stick a card into a machine, users won't have to fumble looking for a card when they can put their whole wallet on Apple Pay and check out easily.

Thryv is not for everyone! It all depends on the needs of the individual's business. If they are wanting to scale back on the number of tools they have to use and pay for, to accomplish their business needs and those tools include a scheduler, Social Media planning/posting tool, an email marketing tool, etc. then Thryv could be for them! If they are looking for a tool to automate some of the communications with their clients, Thryv could be a fit there, too! BUT if they are a small business, solopreneur, and need to start with the entry package BEWARE! The Premium package doesn't have the basic things that the more expensive packages do. One is a customized email signature so you can have you logo, picture, etc. in your email signature. This wasn't offered at all a year ago. I asked for it to be added. Evidently others did too because this week I got an email that they had added it BUT NOT for the Premium Package. Something that is basic that EVERYONE should have access to BUT you have to pay more! It didn't make me feel like a valued customer that's for sure.

  • It's pretty much fool proof from there, as just holding your phone near the reader is sufficient for success.
  • Haptic feedback ensures that I know the payment registered.
  • I have full faith and confidence that the transaction was executed securely.

Cons
  • At times, my Apple Pay will pop up unintentionally. Perhaps there can be more safeguards around that.
  • Apple Pay is not super great if I need to make a return. For any return, I've found that paper receipts are superior.
  • Apple Pay sometimes requires very specific positioning when scanning the phone, which is frustrating.

  • I await the day that Thryv can integrate with Xero.
  • Google Messages integration would be handy.
  • There have been less than a handful of days where the site crashes and I have to reload it several times to get it to work properly.

It is very easy to use and the features are great for the ones we utilize. If you have any issues at all, customer service or our sales rep is great to work with and fixes what issues I have. They are always willing to help out and to follow up to make sure you don't have any more issues.

Although getting through to the right person may take a while, they have the ability to take over your screen and always assist with whatever you need.
