Azure Firewall vs. Check Point CloudGuard vs. Cybereason Defense Platform

Azure Firewall is well suited for most mid sized and large sized companies that deal with thousands of users within multiple environments. Azure Firewall allows you to protect business assets by preventing malicious attacks from entering the network. Azure Firewall would be less suited for a small company that does not use a vpn or have users outside of the office as something smaller would be more appropriate.

Checkpoint Cloud Guard Native Security Platform is much better in native cloud infra security requirements. It works well, and the manageability of said product is good. But If you are having some hybrid kind of environment, it is not suitable, and the products have more complexity to deploy. There are so many other players to do well in this segment.

I'd recommend Cybereason due to it's efficacy, low TCO, low false/positive rate. The product was easy to implement and maintain. One of the major advantages of using Cybereason is that it requires minimal training for level 1 users to use the tool.

• Advanced Threat protection via Check Point CloudGuard proven ThreatCloud intelligence feeds for malicious IP's is a nice feature.
• We have not set up the cloud bots auto-remediation functionality yet, but from initial testing, it looks to be something worth utilizing.
• Having reporting tie in's with our ServiceNow asset management platform is very handy.

Checkpoint support is great. They provide great SLAs and they comply with service times accordingly.

Azure Firewall is a very competitive product that exceeds or meets the competitions offerings and is able to effectively manage a company network and securely lock down the domain environment with seamless integration and easy to use tools while offering great support assistance. We selected Azure Firewall because the customer service that comes with the product is second to none and allows us to keep maximum uptime to protect our assets.

Most products have their pros and cons but Dome9 does everything Evident.io and Redlock can do and more. Evident was a good tool but merging the two products into one complicated things.

Cybereason provides superior protection than either Microsoft or CrowdStrike and a better TCO. We receive less false positives than with Microsoft Defender and Cybereason is easier for level 1 users to use.

• Long term contracting also helped in cost savings and good ROI - 750k USD approx
• Multi-vendor and Multi-cloud capabilities also helped us forecast the capex well
• No need of any other IAM solution - Some cost savings in that area as well for us,
