Azure Network Watcher vs. Icinga vs. Juniper Mist Premium Analytics

Azure Network Watcher is well suited to monitor or diagnose logs for azure virtual network, managing connection/relationship between virtual networks. Diagnose network traffic, network traffic etc. Overall, it is appropriate to use in monitoring, diagnostic and logging activities for resources in azure virtual network. It is mainly used in infrastructure as a service component.

Icinga is a world-class monitoring system. It can be used for most general monitoring situations. It is not a silver bullet, however, and there are instances where domain-specific monitoring systems are necessary. However, the output from those monitoring systems can be funneled into Icinga as a central monitoring and alerting system.

The ease of use of [this] product is one of the best that I have seen. The ability to track so many areas of your wireless network becomes a great benefit in determining the overall needs of the entire network.

Icinga is a solid solution which does everything it promises. It is backwards compatible with most Nagios instances, making the transition very easy. Once you get the hang of installing new plugins and editing configuration files expanding its monitoring capabilities are easy.

Azure Network Watcher can help with resources in the Cloud if this device is able to send traffic. We are using Azure Network Watcher in cases Solarwinds can't cover easily like API to load balancers & additional testing.

Icinga is better than Nagios because of its nicer user interface. New Relic can monitor CPU/memory and disk usage, but it's more of a performance and application troubleshooting tool rather than monitoring

Juniper Mist Premium Analytics is very comparable to this other products. However, it provides much more details. We selected this product because it integrates with our network environment. We have Juniper switches and use the MIST AI system. Jupiter products are state of the art and make our jobs easier due to the ease of use and data that they provide.
